FixIt Vision Terms of Use
1. The service
FixIt Vision (App Store listing name “FixItVision: AI Repair Guide”) is an AI-assisted home repair diagnosis tool offering photo-based fault diagnosis, step-by-step repair guides with manual and video citations, a device library, a maintenance calendar, and routing to licensed professionals.
2. DIY safety disclaimer
DIY repair carries risk; safety always comes first. Diagnoses and repair steps in the app are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute professional repair advice. You are responsible for assessing your own skills and site conditions, complying with local regulations, and cutting power, shutting valves, and wearing protective equipment before starting. For work involving gas, electrical panels, load-bearing structures, asbestos, lead, toxic mold, or similar hazards, always hire a licensed professional — the app force-hides DIY steps for such jobs, and this safety boundary cannot be turned off. Personal injury or property damage arising from repair work is borne by the person performing it.
3. AI-generated content
AI diagnoses are confidence-ranked candidates, not verdicts, and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Every repair step carries a source citation (manual page / video timestamp) for your own verification. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated content.
4. The boundary of “Find a pro”
This feature only opens system Maps to search nearby licensed providers, with calls placed through the system dialer. We do not broker, charge lead fees, or vouch for any provider’s credentials or service quality; any transaction or dispute between you and a provider is solely between the two of you.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Pro subscriptions ($3.99/month or $14.99/year) auto-renew and are processed by the Apple App Store. You can cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; Pro remains available until the end of the current billing period. Refunds follow Apple’s policies and can be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the app for unlawful activity, attempt to bypass the safety firewall or subscription limits, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with the operation of the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Intellectual property
The device records and repair history you create belong to you. The FixIt Vision interface, brand, icons, and underlying technology belong to the developer. Cited manuals and videos belong to their respective rights holders.
8. Changes and termination
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. Material changes will be announced in-app in advance.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
FixIt Vision is provided “as is”, without warranty of uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated content or repair work you perform yourself.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the developer’s place of business, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your place of residence.
